Allen Glazer

In 1998 I moved my horse to Chatsworth. In 2000 I purchased a home and moved my family and business to Chatsworth. I am confident I can represent our community and its unique characteristics. I feel strongly about education, community, preserving open-space, horse-keeping and all the opportunities Chatsworth has to offer.

I understand there is a delicate balance between business, development and community interests and I can work with all these groups. I was President of the Chatsworth Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce for two years. I was a member of Mike Antonivich's Deer Lake committee and a Founding member of Save Chatsworth.

I have served on the Neighborhood Council for 7 years. I am the Treasurer. I am a member of the Outreach and Equestrian Committees. I feel very strongly that my work on the council has benefited our community and I would like your vote.

Mary Kaufman

Currently, member of: Chatsworth Neighborhood Council, CNC Equestrian Committee, CNC Land Use Committee, Chatsworth Community Coordinating Council, Los Angeles Equestrian Advisory Committee, LAPD Volunteer Mounted Patrol, President of Chatsworth's E.T.I. Corral 54 (a family based riding club).

I've had 3 horses boarded in Chatsworth over 15 years. A lot of changes have taken place in Chatsworth during that time-Some good, some not so good. Chatsworth has a unique community spirit. We are constantly fighting to be able to maintain our heritage and rural atmosphere. We have something here in Chatsworth that deserves to be protected--open space. There are more fights to come. I want to help make a difference and want to be part of that fight. These are not just equestrian issues. They are environmental issues we should all be concerned about. Our children and their children deserve to have access to the open space left in Chatsworth.

Diana Dixon-Davis

30 year Chatsworth resident, homeowner, horse-keeping property

Founding member, Chatsworth Neighborhood Council

Currently: Council Board; member, Outreach and Safety Committees.

Previously: Council Vice-President; Chair; Outreach and Beautification Committees, member; Land-Use, Elections, Bylaws, Enhancements Committees.

If re-elected I will represent your issues and promote/protect Chatsworth's high-quality lifestyle. I will advocate for low-density housing, traffic mitigation, safety, horse-keeping, excellent schools, libraries, city and state parks.

Judith Daniels

These are critical days in Chatsworth and LA. During my seven years on the Neighborhood Council I've fought your battles to preserve horse-keeping properties, to limit unreasonable growth, to block excessive traffic on residential streets, to ban unhitched-trailer advertisements, to protect endangered oaks and to support police, firefighters and public schools.

As president for 3 years, I have emphasized the need for stakeholder input on board decisions. I forged a strong relationship with Neighborhood Watch. I represent Chatsworth throughout the city. I'm known in City Hall.

I would appreciate your vote.

I have chaired the Design Review Board for the Devonshire/Topanga Specific Plan for four years. Owning both commercial and residential properties in Chatsworth, I want to assure our rural lifestyle continues while protecting property rights for all.

I have served three terms on the CNC already, have continued to attend all meetings and look forward to serving once again on the board.

Linda van der Valk

I would like to be re-elected to the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council so that I may continue to make Chatsworth the best community that it can be. As a current member of the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council (CNC), I wish to continue my work as chairman of the Public Safety & Transportation Committee and as the CNC representative to the Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils (VANC).

Some of my accomplishments included:

  2. Assisted VANC in coordinating "grass roots" voter response to;

    1. Defeat Measure "B" (DWP's blank check solar initiave), and
    2. Defeat Councilman Jack Weiss' attempt to become the City Attorney (...and continue the "old guard: politics in L.A.)

Thank you for your support, Scott Munson

I am running for one of 21 seats on the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council (CNC) Board of Directors.

I have been Secretary of the CNC Outreach Committee for the past year and my involvement in this Committee and as a Stakeholder at the Board meetings has increased my knowledge of local and City issues and community concerns. I have volunteered many hours and participated in numerous CNC events throughout 2009, concluding with the Chatsworth Holiday Parade. Chatsworth is a unique community in the San Fernando Valley. I have lived in the Valley for many years; I have seen how Chatsworth has changed. Some for the good and some not so good.

We, the community, must be ever protective of Chatsworth's heritage and its future as City hall has demonstrated in the past it has very little regard for the community's interests.

Thank you,
William Lander
