Residential Traffic Significant increases in the volume and/or speed of motor vehicle traffic through residential neighborhoods adversely impacts safety, air quality, noise levels and the quality of life in our community. When considering proposed new developments or changes to existing streets or traffic controls, consideration should be given to these impacts notwithstanding the theoretical legal or physical capacity of the affected streets and intersections.
